One of the miracles is depicted that occurred in front of the Chernigov icon of the Mother of God. A sinner prayed to the Blessed Mother and suddenly saw her image move, and wounds and blood appeared on the child’s arms and legs, like Christ on the cross. The man was startled and asked who had done this, and the Mother of God answered him that sinners like himself do this. After the apparition, the sinner repented and lived a righteous life. Remembrance Day: May 1 and December 9.
On the sides:
Saint Apostle James (April 30)
Along with Andrew and Simon Peter, James and his brother John are among the first called disciples. The name Jakobus is a Latinized form of the name of the patriarch Jacob. The first-called disciples occupy a special place in the circle of disciples in the New Testament because Jesus allows them to participate in important events in his life. James is together with Peter and John on the Mount of Transfiguration (Mt 17.1 EU) when Jesus speaks with Elijah and Moses, and in the garden of Gethsemane (Mt 26.37 EU) he witnesses the desperation of Jesus in view of his impending ordeal.
Saint Martha (July 4)
Saint Martha was the mother of Saint Symeon the Stylite of the Wonderful Mountain.
